Rebekah

Kia Ora,

My name is Rebekah, I am a qualified and registered kaiako. I have been a kaiako at Rabbit Patch since February 2017. I have a passion for working alongside children as they explore the world around them, delving deeper into their understandings and developing their working theories and ideas.

The experiences nga tamariki participate in, and the discoveries they make as they contribute to project work, investigations and  work alongside our Atelierista inspire me to further my own knowledge and refine my own theories and creative processes. By working in a thought provoking and collaborative learning environment alongside other kaiako, nga tamariki and whānau we are ensuring that we are all participating in this learning journey together.

Being an active participant in all areas is a philosophy I maintain outside of Rabbit Patch. I am a keen mountain biker and multisporter. Netball is another passion of mine, and I still play club netball. Being outdoors is an important part of my life, with adventures with my husband a regular occurrence.

I look forward to meeting you and your whānau, working alongside you in this beautiful environment

He taonga te mokopuna, kia whāngaia, kia tipu, kia rea – A child is a treasure, to be nurtured, to grow, to flourish.
