MENUMENU

The belief that each child is unique and individual who develops at their own pace and in their own way,
and deserves our care and respect, is the cornerstone of our programme philosophy.

Before your child starts at Rabbit Patch we offer an optional home visit so that we can really understand your baby’s needs.  Our priority is the safety and security of your child and accommodating your family routine.

Trust is an important feeling for infants and toddlers; each child needs to be able to trust that their needs will be met. By observing your child we are able to meet their individual needs and interests.

For infants and toddlers, care giving routines are essential components of curriculum.

We approach these care giving routines in an unhurried way, offering each child our time and full attention.  A sense of security and safety is established through a sense of predictability and familiarity.

We will support your child's first few days in the nursery with great sensitivity and we will encourage you to spend time in the nursery, establishing a relationship and sharing information with us, and us with you.

Our nurseries are special places,  spacious and beautiful,  full of natural light.  We have separate sleep rooms which are calm and cosy with individual cots and bedding for each child.

Active and natural exploration is encouraged.  Our environment is set up to provide babies time to freely move their bodies.  Research has shown that children who are allowed to move in their own time and in their own way have a greater awareness of their capacities and limitations. Careful consideration is placed on the environment and materials on offer.
